Field Coordinator of Word of Life Taiwan
Jacob Smith
A graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University, Jacob Smith is the Field Coordinator for WOL Taiwan. Experienced with WOL since 2005, Jacob became a full-time missionary to Taiwan in 2015 and transitioned to Field Coordinator in 2021. A published writer, techie, and video producer, Jacob is also an active team member of Pilgrimage Films.
Alumni Ministry
Corrie Pennell 彭珂玉
Corrie has lived in Taiwan since 2007 as a volunteer English teacher and a missionary. In 2015, she joined SYME and grew a passion to help alumni thrive in their walk with the Lord and share the gospel even after they leave the program. Corrie loves serving others, cooking, and sharing her favorite holiday, Christmas, with everyone around her.

Nelson Buchannan
Nelson Buchanan is a graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute, Liberty University and Columbia International University where he received a Masters in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Nelson is passionate about using TESL to reach people with the gospel.

Jo Overly
Jo Overly interviews potential students, schedules classes, and makes sure students are in the right class according to their skills and abilities. He oversees the SYME program and keeps things running.
